General Information:

• Our first outing for this year will be next Monday during school time.
• We will visit the Hartbeespoortdam Zoo.
• We are giving you the date through in advance for the following reasons:
  − We leave at 08h00 and will be returning at 14h00. This means that you must please arrange for earlier drop off/transport in the morning as well as later collection. ALL THE CHILDREN MUST BE AT SCHOOL AT 07H45 AND WE WILL BE BACK AT SCHOOL AT 14H00.
• You receive your indemnity form today. Please return your indemnity form tomorrow.
• NOTE: NO CHILD CAN GO ON THE OUTING WITHOUT THE INDEMNITY FORM.
• For the outing you need to supply a food parcel for your child:
  ❖ Please put in enough food. See attached instructions. We will make sure that they drink water and visit the toilets regularly.
  ❖ NO COOKED FOOD PLEASE! It is difficult to eat at the zoo. Sandwiches work best!

What to wear:

• If your child has a Kwagga T-shirt please put it on. If not we supply school “Bibs” for them so that they can be easily identified.
• Shoes: Put on shoes that they are comfortable in.
• Hat: If you have a hat please let your child wear it for the day!
• Be assured, we have done this numerous times and we will take extra care of them and do everything possible to ensure your child’s safety.
• Please take note that unfortunately we do not allow parents to accompany us. We have arranged additional staff to come and help.
• If you are not comfortable with this arrangement, you are more than welcome to keep your child at home for the day and take him/her to the Zoo by yourself on a Saturday.
• There will be NO one at school during the outing. All our staff is going!
